Welcome to Hades explores themes of childhood, loss, love and innocence. After unrealistic expectations sour Michael's relationship with Jules, heartbreak drives the sixteen year old on a cathartic journey with Treacle, a precocious eleven year old, and manifestation of his psyche. While Michael grapples with loss he questions how to truly develop into a man.
