Imagine it's night time and you're standing on a suburban street in Melbourne, in the middle of summer. As you look up at a 14 story apartment block, you see a body falling. As it passes four separate windows, you, the audience, get to enter into these four separate windows and watch, like a fly on the wall, the events that take us up to the moment of the fall. Despite living so intimately close together, all are seemingly disconnected from each other's lives. 'Apartments' aims to tell the story of how the disconnect between everyday people can impact some people more than others. It pays to smile at your neighbour or even your maintenance guy... you never know what they are going through behind closed doors.
